Laura Bushong


Laura Bushong, CCC-SLP, is a Texas licensed speech-language pathologist specializing in motor speech disorders, particulary childhood apraxia of speech CAS. She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2017 and a Master of Science degree at Abilene Christian University in 2019. Laura has attended the national Apraxia Kids conference for the last five years, completed the Advanced Course in Clinical Thinking in the Diagnosis of Management of CAS by Edythe Strand, Ph.D., is trained in PROMPT, and stays current on research and evidence-based practices through continued education. She is passionate about communication in all forms including augmented and alternative communication (AAC), American Sign Language (ASL) and has a special interest in sensory regulation and executive functioning. Laura is passionate about helping children feel seen and heard. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, painting, camping, and spending time with family.
